This Privacy Policy explains how Interview Co-Pilot (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). This is general information and not legal advice.
1) Information we collect
- Account info: name, email, login and verification details.
- Profile & onboarding info: target role/company, interview type, preferences (e.g., coach/persona).
- Content you submit: interview prompts, answers, transcripts, resumes, and related text you upload.
- Audio processing: if you use voice features, audio is processed to generate transcriptions and feedback.
- Usage & device info: basic logs (pages/actions), approximate IP-derived region, and browser/device details for security and reliability.
- Billing info: subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers. We do not store full card numbers.
2) How we use information
- Provide the Service: mock interviews, feedback, summaries, resume tailoring.
- Authenticate users and prevent fraud/abuse (including rate limiting and security monitoring).
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Improve reliability and troubleshoot (for example, error monitoring).
- Communicate with you about service updates, billing, or support.
3) AI processing & data handling
The Service uses third-party AI providers to generate interview responses, feedback, summaries, transcription, and text-to-speech. Data sent to AI providers may be processed according to their policies and configuration.
We try to minimize what we send, and we encourage you not to submit sensitive personal information (e.g., SSNs, passwords, medical records).
4) Sharing information
We share information only as needed to provide the Service:
- Payments: Stripe processes payments and may handle personal data according to their policies.
- AI providers: to generate outputs (interview coaching, transcription, TTS).
- Error/monitoring: we may use monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry) to detect and fix issues.
- Legal & safety: if required by law, to enforce rights, or prevent abuse.
5) Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of your account data subject to legal/operational requirements.
6) Your choices
- You can update your account details inside the app.
- You can cancel subscriptions through the Billing page.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support.
